national stuff
Okay, well, time's moved on, so if anyone reads this ever my shits changed. i'm still a strong liberal
and democrat. but i do believe that political diversity is really important. i mean, how can you strengthen your own beliefs
without knowing what your "opposition" says? and i know im not perfect, but anyway im trying not to just blatantly argue,
and even if it doesnt seem like it i do (or try anyway) to listen to people with other viewpoints. i wanna listen to people,
because if i dont ill just be another one who is progressive but not open minded. im trying anyway. this election, though,
is absolutely crucial! if we lose now, who the hell knows. it would be really bad. just to point something out: do you notice
how any national issue, like jobs or social security, bush talks about his education policy? just an observation.
international stuff
alright. i advocate a two state policy in terms of Israel
Palestine. yes, there of course have been many wrongs committed by both parties. and palestine definitely needs its own state.
but israel does too. so thats my view on that. iraq: what a disaster. i hate to say i was right, but so many people told me
that it would last a month or two. weve been in for more than a year! weve lost more than ONE THOUSAND soldiers! not too mention
the innumerable, uncounted, iraqi civilian dead. and weapons of mass destruction? may i remind you that that was the original
reason for going to war, in case you thought otherwise. i just find that so crazy. the american people have undertaken an
almost 1984 type view. history has been rewritten so that our reason for going to war was saddam hussein.
